Support Your Children with Developing Good Social Skills in Eden Prairie, MN (Serving the Twin Cities)

This program is a small, supportive group designed to help children ages 8–10 build confidence in social situations, manage big emotions, and strengthen friendships.

This group incorporates elements of the Superflex® curriculum, a playful and engaging approach that helps kids understand their thoughts and behaviors, develop flexible thinking, and improve social awareness.

This group is especially helpful for kids who experience:

  • Social anxiety

  • ADHD-related challenges

  • Difficulty making or keeping friends

  • Trouble managing emotions or social situations

What is the Superflex® Approach?

The Superflex® curriculum uses fun, kid-friendly language and characters to teach children how to:

  • Think more flexibly in social situations

  • Recognize “unexpected behaviors” and how they impact others

  • Manage big emotions and impulses

  • Improve self-regulation and problem-solving

Kids learn these skills through stories, discussion, and interactive activities—making it both effective and engaging.

Social Skills Class Details - Eden Prairie Location

Location:
Creekside Counseling
Eden Prairie, Minnesota
(Convenient for families in Chanhassen, Minnetonka, Edina, Chaska, and the greater Twin Cities area)

Start Date:
June 12, 2026

Schedule:
Fridays at 1:30 PM – a 90 minute group session

Length:
5-week program (no session the weekend of July 4th)

Group Size:
Limited to 4–6 children (small, supportive format)

Investment:
$75 per session
$375 total per participant

*HSA is accepted
A brief intake session is required for new participants to ensure the group is a good fit. Standard intake rates apply.

Who This Group Is For

Meet the Facilitator

Marina Mitcheltree, Therapist at Creekside Counseling

Marina is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 15 years of experience providing therapy for children, teens, parents, and families in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and across the Twin Cities area. I believe in the power of healing through relationships and use a client-centered, developmental, and trauma-informed approach. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you and/or your child feel heard, connected, and empowered. Together, we will identify a healing path forward that fosters resilience, emotional regulation, and stronger family dynamics.
