Elisabeth Emmerich, MA, LPCC, RPT™

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and you’re likely wondering if I’m a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy and meaningful change. It’s important to connect with a counselor who understands your unique needs—whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, or navigating life transitions.

I invite you to get to know a bit about me and my approach, so you feel confident in choosing the support that’s right for you.

From a young age, I’ve had an empathetic ear and a genuine desire to support others. Today, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for children, teens, and moms navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.

I specialize in working with children and teens, helping them build confidence and resilience through evidence-based play therapy and talk therapy. I believe that growth happens best when kids feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen.

For moms, I offer a space to explore the challenges of balancing parenthood, relationships, and self-care—because you deserve to feel supported, too. Parenting can be overwhelming, and finding a therapist who can connect with your child and support you as a parent is essential.

Life’s challenges can feel daunting, but therapy is a chance to find hope, strength, and new possibilities. My goal is to create an emotionally safe environment where you feel heard, validated, and empowered. I value building an authentic relationship with each client, making the therapeutic process both meaningful and rewarding.

My areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, depression, parenting concerns, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, perinatal mood disorders, family dynamics, and life transitions.

When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and three children, taking long walks with my dog, and exploring new restaurants and shops in the Twin Cities.
