Supporting Young Children, Families, and Parents Through Connection, Change, and Growth in Eden Prairie

Many parents reach out when they notice their child struggling with big emotions, behavior challenges, or difficulty with connection — and aren't sure what to do next. Maybe your child has recently received an autism diagnosis, is experiencing anxiety, struggles with impulsivity or rigidity, or you're navigating parenting differences and family stress. You want to support your child well, but you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start.

You're not alone — and you don't have to figure it out on your own.

Why you should work with Laura Muench. . .

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 8 years of experience working with children, parents, and families. I specialize in early childhood development, attachment, and parent-child relationships, and I use a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach.

My goal is to create a space where both you and your child feel seen, heard, and supported. I take time to understand your family's unique dynamics so we can create realistic, sustainable strategies that actually work in your daily life. I believe in starting small — with tools that feel manageable — and building from there to create lasting change.

Anxiety and behavioral concerns are two of the areas I love working with most. Many of the children I see struggle with impulsivity, rigidity, or difficulty managing big feelings — and I find real joy in helping kids build the flexibility and emotional tools they need to feel more confident and regulated, both at home and out in the world.

I also offer dedicated parenting sessions, separate from your child's individual therapy. These sessions give you space to step back, talk through what's coming up at home, and explore parenting strategies that fit your family. When parents and caregivers are on the same page, kids feel that consistency — and it makes a real difference. Whether you're working through a specific behavior, navigating a new diagnosis, or just want a sounding board, these sessions are designed to support you.

In our work together, you can expect a mix of play-based therapy, parent support, and practical guidance to help your child regulate emotions, improve behavior, and strengthen connection within your family.

Parenting is hard — and it's even harder when you're not sure if you and your partner or co-parent are approaching things the same way. My parenting sessions give you dedicated time to talk through what's working, what's not, and how to build strategies you both feel good about. We'll work together to find an approach that's realistic for your family and consistent for your child.
