Meet Elisabeth Emmerich, MA, LPCC, RPT™
Finding the right therapist for anxiety, trauma and life transitions:
Hi, I’m Elisabeth Emmerich, a licensed therapist, mom of three, and founder of Creekside Counseling. I provide therapy for women, children, and teens struggling with anxiety and trauma. I know that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and you may be wondering if we’d be a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy and lasting change. My goal is to create a compassionate, practical space where women, children, and teens feel understood and supported as they navigate anxiety, process trauma, and grow through life’s challenges.
As someone who has always cared deeply about supporting others, I bring that same compassion and insight to my work as a therapist. I come from a Christian faith background and am happy to integrate faith into therapy when it’s meaningful to you. At the same time, I deeply respect the cultural, family, and spiritual values of each client, meeting people exactly where they are. My approach is always tailored to your goals, experiences, and beliefs, creating a safe, compassionate space where you can be fully seen and heard.
Today, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, I provide therapy for children, teens, and moms navigating anxiety, trauma, and life challenges. I’m passionate about helping clients process difficult emotions, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I specialize in working with children and teens. . .
helping them build confidence and resilience through evidence-based play therapy and talk therapy. I believe that growth happens best when kids feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the challenges of motherhood, relationships, and self-care, you might be experiencing:
Emotional dysregulation
Mom guilt
Overwhelm and burnout
Anxiety or worry about parenting or life in general
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your partner
Difficulty balancing motherhood, relationships, and self-care
Struggles with confidence or decision-making
Frustration with constant pressure to “do it all”
Feeling unheard or unsupported
Challenges managing your child’s emotions or behavior
Life’s challenges can feel daunting, but therapy is a chance to find hope, strength, and new possibilities. My goal is to create an emotionally safe environment where you feel heard, validated, and empowered. I value building an authentic relationship with each client, making the therapeutic process both meaningful and rewarding.
My areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, depression, parenting concerns, relationship issues, yelling at your kids, mom guilt, behavioral challenges, perinatal mood disorders, family dynamics, and life transitions.
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my husband and three children, taking long walks with my dog, and exploring new restaurants and shops in the Twin Cities.
